Dr. Kyle Scholnick

Dr. Kyle Scholnick graduated Summa Cum Laude from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. At his time at GWU, he won numerous honors and awards including the Presidential Merit Scholarship, Dean’s Honor List, National Dean’s List, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and participated in the University Honors program. Dr. Scholnick then completed his four-year medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, graduating at the top of his class and with honors and awards for academic excellence including the Pi Delta National Podiatric Medical Honor Society, Podiatric Merit Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship Award, William Goldfarb Scholarship, J. David Derr Scholarship, Dr. Gartha E. Wolfe Scholarship and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery Division 8 Scholarship Award.

Prior to being In private practice since 2014, Dr. Scholnick completed a rigorous three-year comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at the prestigious Yale University Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, serving as chief resident in his final year. During his residency, Dr. Scholnick was selected as one of the few Podiatrists in the country to complete a Fellowship specializing in Podiatric Dermatology and Dermatopathology with Bako Podiatric Pathology Services in Alpharetta, Georgia. This was an intensive diagnostic fellowship focusing on dermatology and oncology of the lower extremity. His training focused on the diagnosis and treatment of malignant soft tissue cancers, neoplasms, papulosquamous lesions, eczematous disorders, bacterial, fungal and viral infections, vasculitis, connective tissue diseases, genodermatoses, bullous diseases, epidermal nerve fiber density testing, advanced biopsy techniques and local flap plastic reconstruction.

Dr. Scholnick has advanced training in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery, including forefoot reconstruction, flatfoot reconstruction, diabetic foot reconstruction, wound care, limb salvage, skin grafting, external fixation, plastic flap reconstruction, sports medicine, arthroscopy and trauma. Dr. Scholnick has also received unique training in holistic and regenerative medicine, as well as foot and ankle osteopathic manipulations. He is on staff at Inova Fairfax and Fair Oaks Hospitals.

Dr. Scholnick has also completed advanced seminars and training in foot and ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle diagnostic ultrasound, external fixation, dermatopathology biopsy techniques and advanced foot and ankle reconstructive techniques. He is a nationally published author on numerous conditions such as osteomyelitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, wound healing, ankle impingement, chronic venous insufficiency and plantar fasciitis.

In his free time, Dr. Scholnick enjoys traveling, yoga, tennis, biking, hiking, swimming and spending time with his family. Dr. Scholnick is eager to help his patients feel better as soon as possible so they can return to the activities and lifestyle they love.
